Our Story
In 2020, the world changed for all of us in ways we could never have imagined. Suddenly unable to work, I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. As a nail technician, I’m used to being busy and working with my hands to express creativity. With this unexpected downtime, I decided to fully embrace something that had long been a hobby of mine.
I’ve always loved experimenting with different fragrances and waxes to create melts I used at home. It was something I was deeply passionate about. Being in the beauty industry, I’ve always enjoyed visiting spas—both locally and while travelling. For me, the spa experience begins long before the treatment—it starts the moment you step through the door. The aroma that greets you envelops your senses and instantly soothes your mind and body. Whether it’s a calming lavender, a sweet floral blend, or a sultry spice, scent is powerful.
In my nail boutique, I always tried to recreate that same sensory experience using branded candles and reed diffusers. Over time, I began to notice that these candles weren’t lasting as long, even as the prices kept rising. That’s when I began experimenting more seriously—first for my own use, and then for my clients in the boutique to enjoy.
Fast forward to 2020—armed with extra time and a spark of creativity—I began making wax melts in larger quantities and more elaborate designs. That’s when Cera De Amor was born. The name, which means “Wax Love” in Spanish, was actually my husband’s idea!
From there, things moved quickly. I launched a Facebook page and was overwhelmed by the amazing response and support. It grew faster than I ever could have dreamed.
In 2024, we took a huge step forward and opened our very own shop and workspace. We now have a lovely retail area, and everything is handmade on-site. It’s something I always dreamed of—and I’m beyond proud to have made it a reality.
As the brand continued to grow, so did our vision. In 2026, we made the decision to evolve and rebrand from Cera De Amor to Amor Scent Co. This change reflected the direction the business had naturally grown into. While wax melts will always be at the heart of what we do, our focus expanded into creating a calm, wellness-inspired lifestyle brand.
With this new chapter came a softer aesthetic, a more tranquil feel, and a deeper intention behind our products—designed to help create moments of peace, relaxation, and comfort in everyday life. The name changed, but the heart of the business remained exactly the same.
Today, we have a loyal community of returning customers, a growing collection of beautiful products (with even more in testing!), and so many exciting ideas still to come. We even built our own website to share everything with you!
We do our best to keep products in stock, but occasionally some items are made to order depending on availability. I aim to dispatch within 7 days if something isn’t in stock. For local customers, we also offer free collection—just select that option at checkout and we’ll be in touch to arrange a time.
